Signed MoU For Cooperation In Field Of Sports
India and the Netherlands signed Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) in field of Sports. MoU provides exchange of knowledge and
experience in the fields of sports management, competition infrastructure
set-up, coaching, training systems and training of referees for various
sporting disciplines.The MoU was signed by Jitendra Singh, Union Sports
Minister and Edith I Schippers Health, Welfare and Sport Minister of the
Netherlands in New Delhi on 30 January.
Kiwi Kathy Cross Is
First Woman In ICC Umpire’s Panel
New Zealand’s Kathy Cross on 30 January became
the first woman to be inducted in an ICC umpires’ panel when she was named as
an Associate and Affiliate International umpires for 2014 following the annual
review and selection process.The panel comprises 11 umpires that sits below the
elite and international panels-officiates in ICC World Cricket League matches
for teams ranked in divisions three to six and other associate and affiliate
tournaments.The panel of 11 umpires’ panel for 2014 has been joined by Kathy
Cross and Nigel Morrison.
