Archana Ramasundaram Appointed CBI’s Additional Director

Senior IPS officer Archana Ramasundaram was on 7 February appointed Additional Director in the CBI, the first woman to be elevated to this level in the investigation agency. It was homecoming for Ramasundaram, a 1980 batch officer from Tamil Nadu cadre, who had served in the agency as Deputy Inspector General and later as its first woman Joint Director and handled various cases pertaining to Economic Offences between 1999 and 2006.

In the month of February 2014 Dennis amputee, Aabo became the first person to receive a bionic hand with a sense of touch has been tested on a patient for the first time, raising the prospect of artificial feeling limbs.The Dennis amputee was able to feel what was available in his hands by the sensors, which has been connected to his nerves of his upper arm.
